- [Instructor] SEO, or search engine optimization, is a process with which you can improve the quality and quantity of your website traffic. Much of it is focused on how your site is found, but SEO can also drastically impact how people interact with your site. Typical SEO goals include: being found on search engines using specific search terms, increasing conversions and social shares, boosting the amount of time someone spends on your site, or encouraging people to return to your site. And so much of this depends on how easy your site is to use. You can find entire courses on just SEO, but here, we'll just go over some basics that anyone is capable of including on their site. The first step is to make sure that Google and other search engines can actually find your website and its content.
