- [Instructor] Let's start with this quote from Thomas Davenport. "Every company has big data in its future "and every company will eventually be in the data business." In this section, we're going to look at what I call specialty NoSQL databases. As the NoSQL ecosystem matures, it's interesting to see how the databases evolve to meet customer demands. And the top level trend here is time-based events coming from devices. So in this section, we're going to look at specialty built NoSQL databases that can store real-time events using NoSQL, and we'll start with looking at two versions of a GCP popular NoSQL event database, Firebase and Firestore, and the idea with this is we're going to store time-based event data. Depending on whether it's Firebase or Firestore, data will be stored and made available in either real time or near real time. And this is used to store event-based data, so jagged data, keys, and varying values.…
