Challenge: Banner ad
From the course: Design Aesthetics for the Web
Challenge: Banner ad
- [Narrator] Ready for a challenge that lets you incorporate the principles of design? In this scenario, you'll be creating a banner image for a rotating slider at the top of a web layout on a retail store's website. Your goal is to accomplish three things with regard to the principles of balance, emphasis, proportion, and simplicity. First, of these three sample images, you'll pick the one that you think would work best. Second, you'll modify your selected image to fit a layout size of 960 by 530 pixels, that's 960 wide by 530 tall. You can use Content-Aware Scale and Content-Aware Fill as needed, along with any other image editing techniques. And then third, you'll add the text, "Take an extra 25% off" and "Promo code: 25OFF" somewhere over the image. Take a few minutes to work on or consider your design layout. When you're ready, watch the solution video to see one possible solution.
