- Attitude is key when it comes to hiring the right salesperson. That person's attitude determines how they see the world and how they interact with the world. Do they see the world as glass half full or glass half empty? Do they wait for the world to come to them, or do they roll up their sleeves and make things happen? Are your salespeople the people who go out and get business, or do they rely on leads to come to them? Let's review this together. In my book, I wrote something clients say sticks with them. Hire for attitude, train for aptitude, coach for altitude. What this means is that attitude comes first every time.
