- [Instructor] Nothing makes you feel like a power user quite like flicking seemingly random keys while working and making a Mac do all sorts of things that would otherwise take a less efficient series of mouse actions, swipes, or clicks to accomplish. Some of the most useful key commands to know are the ones that allow you to put your Mac to sleep but also to log out with an are you sure or an immediately option and of course, the option of immediate shutdown. Of note, your Touch ID pad on your Mac laptop is also the power button. Command + R is a multitasker. It is contextual in its function. If you use it in the Finder on an alias, it'll show you where the original is. If you use it in Calendar or Safari or some other apps, it will refresh and reload the content. If you use it in the system preferences and software updates, it will check for new updates, and if you use it as a boot process interupter, it will boot you…
