- Of course, as managers and employers, we need to be mindful of balancing the business needs with the employee needs. It's often a very good idea to record this conversation in writing and what has been agreed. You can also suggest that the employee contact their GP or doctor, or the company health provider if you have one. But remember, each employee's situation is unique. Each woman will be different. And it's really important not to make assumptions based on your own knowledge. I recommend maintaining an open door policy with your employees to show genuine concern for their wellbeing.
