- All right folks, let's get real and talk about the features of navigation services, because let's be honest, we are all about not getting lost on the roads out there. I'll go over some functional and non-functional requirements that your platform needs to support. The very first thing our platform should do is give people directions from point A to point B, but not just any directions. Your app should give users the ETA, or option to choose between different routes based on distance or time. If you're feeling adventurous, you could even add an option for a scenic route. Now, your app should be a pluggable model, meaning you can easily add features like traffic data, weather, accidents, or even road blockages, without changing the entire architecture.
