It is used to summarize what the page or blog post is all about. When done right, it can lead to your reader clicking on your blog post versus the dozens of others competing for attention on a search result page. Now, in order to optimize your meta description for search, you will need to have a free plugin installed on your blog called Yoast SEO. Once you have this plugin installed, we can move to the next step to optimize the meta description of your blog post. Once you're on your blog post, you'll have to scroll down all the way to the bottom of your blog post so that you can see the Yoast SEO plugin pop up here and this is going to be the main plugin that we use to optimize the search engine ranking for your blog post.
