In our latest blog, dan preiss highlights how we're not just researching AI, but actively implementing it to enhance our operations and deal flow. This aligns perfectly with our thesis on vertical AI solutions. The results speak volumes - we've significantly increased our pipeline efficiency and quality leads. Dan's insights on strategic adoption, customization, and process adaptation are spot-on. Excited to see how this continues to differentiate us and drive value for our portfolio companies and LPs.

vc @ ardent venture partners

Exciting developments at Ardent Venture Partners as we go beyond researching generative AI and shift to building AI-powered tooling to enhance our operations. The results speak for themselves, only reinforcing our belief in vertical AI solutions (not just for VC!). Here is a recap of my latest blog (linked below): Some key points for those struggling with where to begin: 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: When adopting AI, consider where it can be most beneficial to your strategy. In venture, a few areas to consider are sourcing, screening, diligence, or portfolio management. Hint: We chose to focus on sourcing and screening, which has helped us manage a significant increase in opportunities more effectively. 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: While tools like Affinity and Harmonic are useful, we've developed custom software with ML models that achieved ~95% accuracy, improving our efficiency significantly. 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐩𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬: Adopting new tooling is not enough; you must also revisit existing workflows. We've adjusted roles/responsibilities and meetings and created feedback workflows to ensure our platform remains effective. Looking forward, AI will revolutionize all industries, including venture capital. Funds of the future that leverage automation will look and operate differently than those of today and, I believe, will be able to differentiate themselves further from their competitors.
