Community Starts in the Office

Community Starts in the Office

I’m excited to announce that not only are Walker & Dunlop employees heading back into the office, but on Monday we moved into our brand-new headquarters! Our three-story space is located in the heart of Bethesda, within the newly-built development, The Wilson.

A ton of work and detail went into the creation of this new space. From the moment you walk in the door, you’re met with core elements of W&D’s brand and culture – it is truly being brought to life in our new suite. The new office also comes with some pretty incredible amenities including a fully equipped gym accessible to all employees, a rooftop terrace, penthouse lounge, bike room, and access to Tatte Bakery. Our goal is to make the transition from home to the office as seamless as possible and promote a sense of comfort and belonging for all W&D employees.

We also want to encourage flexibility. While we still have a number of employees working remotely, we’ve equipped our space with the latest technology so we don’t miss a beat. We’ve invested in touchless fixtures, glass partitions, six-foot distancing between workspaces, and sanitization stations to ensure safety for our employees and visitors as we continue to navigate the Covid-19 pandemic.

I’m most looking forward to the ability to gather in person again. It’s been proven that this in-person interaction is key to reinforcing a company’s culture, and at W&D, culture is at the heart of everything we do. The ability to collaborate, share ideas, interact with colleagues and friends is crucial not only for employee satisfaction, but also for success in furthering our mission.

Our Walker Way values – Driven, Caring, Collaborative, Tenacious, and Insightful – have been brought to life by our employees and the way we do business, but now it is an architectural reality. Our purpose and values are written on the walls. Creating a space that encourages interaction among a group of colleagues with a shared mission promotes connection to one another as well as to the organization.

We’re going to make the transition from home to the office as smooth as possible and look forward to promoting a sense of community and belonging for all W&D employees. I couldn’t be happier to unveil our new office and finally get our employees back together.
