Talent Attraction + Employer Brand

Talent Attraction + Employer Brand

On Talent Attraction:

Candidates in modern times - rarely use 'electronic mail' to communicate and network with those they are connected to globally in social. They use social media dms, texts, etc.

Therefore it's important for Talent Recruiting Departments and even Human Resources and Hiring Directors to become more in tune with the more modern ways of communicating with the Talent outside their company. Communicating and reaching top talents means getting comfortable with how Talent is now conversing vs driving old-school electronic mail correspondences. The modern Talent pool utilizes social media comms, dms, and texting.

Top-flight recruiting is being where the Talent is*, not asking Talent to return to old communication channels that few find innovative or convenient.

It's important to get used to talking to talents on LinkedIn messages, Twitter DMs, IG, Texts, etc. - these mediums aren't unprofessional, they are modern. Follow the Talent vs. driving Talent to go backward to the older ways - the reason being twofold.

#1 It is noticed by executive talent how up-to-date, fluid, modern, or old-school the company's communication culture is.

#2 Driving modern candidates to go off social comms into email relays a message, that modern comms isn't legit, and this is not a recommended strategy in talent attraction or employer brand.
