Your Cocktail Party Self

Your Cocktail Party Self

The spotlight is on you and you don’t disappoint. The crowd is around you - and everyone is interested. In fact, they are enthralled.  Riveted. You have them laughing at times and dabbing their eyes at other times. You’re mesmerizing. You own the room. You’re the center of attention and just loving it. You are in the zone.

This is, what I call, your “cocktail party self.”

Your best “you.”

This is who you need to be when the director calls: “Action!”

Perhaps your “cocktail party self” doesn’t emerge often. Or perhaps not often enough. But imagine if you could turn it on and off like a switch?

Imagine what would happen to your TV and film career?

You don’t need to imagine much. You know the answer. Your career on-camera would takeoff.

This is who you need to be whenever you are in front of the camera.

But being yourself can be harder than it sounds.  Especially, when there’s 50 people watching you in a studio - and exponentially more at home -  and your every word is being scrutinized.

This is where training with a trusted coach is invaluable: helping you be “you.” Your best self.  Your cocktail party self.

On Saturday January 25th in NYC, I will work with a handful of “future hosts” in a day-long TV Host Boot Camp. You can be one of them. Find out more by clicking this link:

Actually, your life is your stage. Your first impression is your best impression and that's the one you'll be remembered by.
