So wonderful to see Exscientia's announcement about how they are applying Amazon Bedrock, the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Generative AI service, to further speed up drug discovery. Exscientia deploys generative AI in their DesignStudio to ‘learn’ rather than to ‘screen’ for discoveries in vast chemical space. By encoding and automating the design/make/test/learn (DMTL) loop, drug researchers can speed up the critical adaptive learning step in AI, ultimately leading to more of the design process taking place "in silico", which can reduce time and cost.
