Inspiring trust in our patients doesn't just mean supporting their routine care — it also means stepping up to the plate when things go awry. 🔽 ❌ Our CVS Specialty patient, Connie Elliot, lives with Parkinson's disease and relies on her "miracle" medication to improve her quality of life. But when a clerical error meant Connie was at risk of not receiving her medication, her daughters reached out to us in desperation. 🦸♀️ Our #TeamCVS Specialty colleague and patient representative, Eileen LaCivita, was there to save the day, working to ensure that Connie never missed a dose of medication during the four weeks it took to resolve the issue. Connie and her family call Eileen their hero – and, we are so grateful to Eileen and our many remarkable colleagues who are making a difference in the lives of patients every day.

The community of Lahaina, Hawaii embodies togetherness — close-knit, ohana, warmth. Following tragic wildfires last summer, our #TeamCVS colleagues met the moment and showed the community that togetherness is also its greatest strength. ⬇️ ❤️ Despite losing their homes, property, or even loved ones, colleagues joined together to put the community first, hosting drive-in events to distribute care packages to those in need. 📦 Knowing how patients were impacted by the fires, our pharmacy teams also rose to the challenge, making prescription deliveries across the island to ensure necessary medications still made it to families. Amidst ongoing recovery efforts, the strength and resilience of our colleagues in supporting the Lahaina community is truly worth celebrating.

In the wake of devastating wildfires that swept across West Maui, Hawaii, last August, one question guided our #TeamCVS colleagues: How do we help our community, and how do we help each other? 👉 With 75% percent of our colleagues at our Lahaina location losing their homes to the fire, securing safe shelter and access to supplies like clean water, food and toiletries for team members was our top priority. 👉 Springing into action in the face of adversity, colleagues banded together to set up a pantry, open to all colleagues across the island to take whatever they needed for themselves or loved ones during recovery. Today, we recognize the extraordinary heart #TeamCVS showed to support their fellow colleagues in Maui and the Lahaina community!
