On October 24th at 7 am PT, Partner Siegmar Pohl is presenting on “US investment and support programs” during a webinar hosted by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Düsseldorf, Germany.   With the US Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), an investment package worth billions was put together last year, which promotes measures to combat climate change and, overall, a realignment of the US economy towards greater sustainability through comprehensive tax relief. Under the IRA, the US has begun investing over $369 billion in climate protection and strengthening future industries alone. Companies must prepare for the fact that parts of the tax incentives granted are linked to the use of US-made components. But how can German companies benefit from the IRA and the US funding programs? What business opportunities arise from the restructuring of the US economy, particularly in the energy sector?   The webinar provides an overview of the basic background and structure of the IRA and places it in the US funding landscape. The status of implementation and implementation as well as important deadlines relating to the IRA are presented. In addition, the participants should be given a basic understanding of public procurement - key words here are Buy America and Buy American. During the webinar there is sufficient time and opportunity to discuss your questions.   —    Mit dem US Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) wurde im letzten Jahr ein milliardenschweres Investitionspaket geschnürt, welches Maßnahmen zur Bekämpfung des Klimawandels und insgesamt eine Neuausrichtung der US-Wirtschaft auf mehr Nachhaltigkeit durch umfassende steuerliche Entlastungen fördert. Unter dem IRA hat die USA begonnen über 369 Milliarden US-Dollar allein in den Klimaschutz und die Stärkung von Zukunftsbranchen. Unternehmen müssen sich darauf einstellen, dass Teile der gewährten Steueranreize an die Verwendung von Komponenten aus US-amerikanischer Produktion geknüpft sind. Doch wie können deutsche Unternehmen vom IRA und den Förderprogrammen der USA profitieren? Welche Geschäftschancen entstehen aus dem Umbau der US-Wirtschaft, insbesondere im Bereich Energie?   Im Webinar wird ein Überblick zum grundsätzlichen Hintergrund und Aufbau des IRA gegeben und dieser in die Förderlandschaft der USA eingeordnet.
