Northside Hospital Heart Institute

Dr. Sreeni R Gangasani of Northside Hospital Heart Institute has been named chairman of the Georgia Composite Medical Board.   The board oversees proper licensing and regulation of health care professionals within the state. Gov. Brian Kemp appointed Dr. Gangasani to the board in 2021.   Dr. Gangasani practices in Lawrenceville with board certifications in cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, heart failure and transplantation.

The Northside Hospital Heart Institute has earned a 2025-27 Silver Level ELSO Award.

Atrial fibrillation is the most common heart rhythm disorder facing Americans, and Dr. Alok Gambhir said Northside Hospital Heart Institute is leading the way in detecting, managing and treating this disorder, which can lead to heart failure and strokes.
