Refresh your lingerieKitting yourself out for a workout? Think twice before you grab your trusty loungewear tee. You’ll need a top that works as hard as you will with moisture-wicking properties – keeping dry by wicking away sweat from your body. For a sweat-inducing session or yoga (where you don't want excess fabric getting in the way of your downward dog), go for a crop top. This patterned number has a flattering high neck and removable padded cups. If you’re after something a bit looser or prefer a bit more coverage, try a sleeveless top or T-shirt. Available in acid-yellow and powder blue, this relaxed-fit sleeveless top is made with merino wool. We know what you’re thinking: your favourite merino wool jumper does an amazing job at keeping you warm. True – but it’s also a natural moisture wicker and does a superb job at keeping you cool. Yes, really.
Whether you’re taking in a few laps of the local park or pounding the treadmill, whatever’s on your bottom half needs to flex and move with you, so leggings and shorts are your best bet. It’s no fluke that our Go Train Ultimate Gym Leggings come out top of the workout-buy charts, time and time again. Not only do they have an ultra-comfy high waist and reflective trims for outdoor activities, these leggings even have pockets (yes, pockets!) and the back and side – no bag required. Prefer a pair of shorts? If you haven’t tried multi-layered yet, you really should. The moisture-wicking underlayer will prevent the much-dreaded chafing and cheek exposure. Our wondrous Woven Layered Gym Shorts come in four colours – black, tangerine, powder blue and navy.
So, you’ve found your top and bottoms. Next up… the sports bra. If the budget allows, buy a medium-support sports bra for lower impact sports and a high-impact design for running. If you’re only getting one, choose the Goodmove Ultimate Support Serious Sports Bra. Developed in collaboration with scientists at the Asahi Group Research & Development centre in Japan, this high-impact sports bra has been designed to reduce bounce by a whopping 25%. When it comes to choosing your sneakers, opt for a well-fitting pair that provides support, cushioning and stability. For running and the gym, these lace-up sneakers feature supportive shock-absorbing soles, Insolia Flex tech for perfect foot placement and Insolia Cradle for stability and balance.
