On Tuesday, July 9, GMA3: What You Need to Know welcomes actor Y’lan Noel, cookbook author Karla Tatiana Vasquez, and career expert and author Laura Gassner Otting.
Y’lan Noel, a Panamanian-American actor, joins the show to discuss his role in the Apple TV+ series “Lady in the Lake.” Noel is known for portraying Daniel King in the HBO television series “Insecure” from 2016 to 2018 and for playing the lead role in the 2018 horror film “The First Purge.”
Karla Tatiana Vasquez, a food historian and Salvadoran author, joins the show to discuss her cookbook, “The SalviSoul Cookbook.” The book celebrates the vibrant culture and community of El Salvador through 80 recipes and stories from twenty-five Salvadoran women. Vasquez took to the internet to find the dishes her mother made throughout her childhood, but when she couldn’t find any, she decided to create her own. The cookbook includes recipes such as Rellenos de Papa and Flor de Izote con Huevos Revueltos, as well as variations on the beloved Salvadoran Pupusa.
Laura Gassner Otting, a career expert and author, shares tips for parent/child relationships at any age. With over 25 years of experience, Otting helps individuals and organizations architect success by understanding what engages people in their work. She has worked with brands and leaders to improve employee engagement, retention, and team culture.
