July 11: 1B placed on injured list; OF/1B selected from Triple-A
After he was held out of Wednesday's lineup, Soderstrom was placed on the 10-day injured list on Thursday with a left wrist bone bruise. His placement is retroactive to Wednesday.

Brown, who was sent outright to the Minors on June 18 after batting just .189 in 63 games with Oakland, earned his way back by hitting .403 with a 1.152 OPS, seven home runs, three doubles and 24 RBIs in 16 games with Triple-A Las Vegas. The 31-year-old was immediately inserted into Thursday's starting lineup for the A's in Boston, batting sixth and playing first base.

July 9: LHP placed on paternity list; RHP Michel Otañez recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas
Harris flew home to be with his wife for the birth of their first child. The A's are hopeful he can rejoin the club in Philadelphia in time to start Friday's series opener against the Phillies. Luis Medina is expected to be pushed up a day to start Thursday's series finale against the Red Sox.

Otañez returns for his second stint with the A's this season and provides a middle relief option for Oakland out of the bullpen.

The A's are hopeful that Toro could begin running the bases at some point during the week of July 1. He is still expected to be out, at least through the All-Star break. (Last updated: July 2)

Jiménez’s placement on the IL is retroactive to June 20, though he is expected to miss at least six to eight weeks after MRI results revealed a Grade 2 strain of his left oblique. He is currently shut down from all baseball activities. (Last updated: June 23)

Waldichuk underwent a successful Tommy John surgery and internal brace procedure with Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles on May 15. Sidelined for the remainder of the 2024 season, the A’s estimate a recovery timeline of 13 months, which puts Waldichuk in line for a potential return to Major League action next June. After feeling discomfort following his Cactus League outing on March 16 against the Brewers, MRI results revealed a full tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in Gott’s right elbow. He underwent Tommy John surgery on April 3, and will miss the entire 2024 season. (Last updated: April 3)
