Ali Miguel Sánchez... Married to Rosymar...Has two daughters, Anna and Alyssa... Played shortstop initially, but converted to catcher as a teenager prior to signing with the Mets in 2013.

2023

Attended Spring Training as a non-roster invitee with Arizona…Spent the entire season with Triple-A Reno, where he established career-highs as a Minor Leaguer in batting, home runs and RBI…Made just one error in 460 total chances in 427.2 innings behind the plate…Threw out 22 runners attempting to steal against him, which ranked third among all backstops in the Pacific Coast League.

2022

Combined to hit .262 (66-for-252)/.354 OBP with 14 doubles, six home runs, 33 RBI and 35 walks over 74 games between Triple-A Memphis and Toledo... Designated for assignment by the Cardinals on June 15 and claimed off waivers by the Tigers on June 18.

2021

Was recalled from Memphis (AAA) twice during the season and played in one game each time, both the second game of a doubleheader...Hit safely in both games played, cracking a double in each game and did not strike out in four total plate appearances...Started at catcher vs. NYM (5/5 - Game 2) and caught for starting pitcher Johan Oviedo. Played the entire game and was 1-for-3 with a double... Played in 70 games for Memphis (AAA) starting 63 at catcher while appearing at first base for two innings and was designated hitter for three games... Ran off a nine-game hitting streak (6/23-7/7) which included three three-hit games while batting .500 (10-20) with a home run, two doubles and three RBI... Had a season-high four hits (4-for-5, 2B, 3 RBI) vs. Gwinnett (7/30)...Threw out 53.3% of attempted base stealers (16 CS/30 SB ATT) while at Memphis... Batted .300 (27-90) with 2 HR, 12 RBI and four doubles in 23 games for Lara in his first season playing in the Venezuela Winter League.

2020

Played in five games and made four starts, three of those on the back-end of a doubleheader...Made his Major League debut vs. WSH (8/10) entering the game defensively in the top of the 7th inning. Grounded into a double play in his first at-bat...Recorded his first Major League hit at NYY (8/28) in the second game of a doubleheader at Yankee Stadium with a single up the middle off Jonathan Loaisiga in the 3rd inning...Did not record a caught stealing in three stolen base attempts (0 CS/3 SB ATT).

2019

Went on an 18-game hitting streak from June 1-27, marking the longest such streak in the Eastern League on the season...Batted .406 (26-64) with seven doubles and nine RBI in that span... Caught 31 of 70 attempted base stealers (44.3 percent).
