N.J. woman who received second-ever pig kidney transplant dies

Lisa Pisano, a Navy veteran who was the first-ever recipient of a combined heart pump and gene-edited pig kidney transplant, died Sunday. She was 54.

Her death was announced Tuesday by transplant doctors at NYU Langone Health.
