Nathan’s Famous is celebrating National Hot Dog Day by offering customers the chance to snag a frank for a nickel Wednesday — the same price diners paid when the first Nathan’s opened in 1916.

The deal is available at participating Nathan’s —including its iconic flagship Coney Island location — from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, with a limit of two $0.05 dogs per order. A regular hot dog usually costs $5.99 at the restaurant.

About seven billion hot dogs are eaten every year between Memorial Day and Labor Day, according to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council.

Earlier this month, Patrick Bertoletti and Miki Sudo won the men’s and women’s contests at the annual Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest on July 4.

Members of 7-Eleven’s 7REWARDS loyalty program can score a Big Bite Hot Dog for just $1.

On July 19, Shake Shack diners can get a free hot dog with any purchase of $1 or more in-store or on the chain’s app/website for delivery or pickup with the code FREEHOTDOG.

Shoppers who are looking to stock up can take $10 off $20 on hot dogs, buns, condiments and more from select retailers on Instacart.

Omaha Steaks is offering 50% off a number of hot dog-related items with the purchase of any other items.

Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge in Times Square has a special today: two 2-foot-long hot dogs for $35.

Users of the Blackbird app loyalty program can also grab a free dog every Monday and Wednesday in July at Crif Dogs on St. Mark’s Place.

Hungry New Yorkers can also order a hot dog at Sonic’s newest location — and third in the city — in East New York which opened this week.
