Gimme an S! Gimme an R! Gimme an O! What’s that spell? Single Room Occupancy! Don’t blame us for being excited by an old term that many people aren’t familiar with. It’s a housing model that used to be widespread in New York City, but that now is almost foreign: buildings with individual bedrooms but shared living spaces, bathrooms and kitchens.
