Headed to the OC Fair this week? Here are some things to know.

General information:

•Hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and 11 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

•General admission is $13 on Wednesdays and Thursdays and $15 on Fridays and weekends; tickets are $9 every day for children 6-12 and seniors 60 and older.

•Tickets must be purchased ahead online at ocfair.com. Daily attendance is capped at about 50,000 people and may sell out on popular days.

•Parking is $15

•OC Fair Express runs weekends, with direct bus service from the ARTIC station in Anaheim, Fullerton Park-and-Ride, Goldenwest Transportation Center in Huntington Beach and Laguna Hills Transportation Center. Get information on times and locations at ocfair.com, cost is $2 each way.

Things to do:

•Teens from around the region have been raising livestock in 4-H and FFA programs, watch at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 27, as all their hard work pays off with the annual Junior Livestock Auction.

•Cheer on the All-Alaskan Racing Pigs; races start every hour and a half beginning at 2 p.m. on weekdays and 12:30 p.m. on weekends in the Plaza Pacifica. The last race is 8 p.m. each day.

•The All Star Trio will perform nightly through Sunday at the Baja Bar and Grill; shows are 7 p.m., except Friday and Saturday are 8 p.m.

•Check out a cow milking demonstration in the Millennium Barn at 2:15 p.m., 4:15 and 6:15 p.m. each day – and say hi to the other barn residents.

•There is a touch tank with aquatic animals in the Orange County Sand and Sea exhibit in the OC Promenade; it also includes a VR diving experience.

•Think you might have what it takes to win a blue ribbon? There are still a few competitions taking entries, including for cut flowers, floral arrangements and container plants. Learn more at ocfair.com under the be a part of the fair tab.

•July 24: Monster Truck Nitro Tour at 7:30 p.m.

•July 25: Monster Truck Nitro Tour at 7:30 p.m.

•July 26: Monster Truck Nitro Tour at 7:30 p.m.

•July 27: Monster Truck Nitro Tour at 7:30 p.m.

•July 28: Monster Truck Nitro Tour at 7:30 p.m.

Playing at the Hangar (requires a ticket purchased in advance, but includes fair admission):

•July 24: Dead Man’s Party, a tribute to Danny Elfman and Oingo Boingo, at 8:15 p.m.

•July 25: Ticket To The Moon, The ELO Tribute at 8:15 p.m.

•July 26: Red Corvette, a Prince tribute band at 8:15 p.m.

•July 27: Atomic Punks, a tribute to early Van Halen, at 8:15 p.m.

•July 28: 24K Magic, a Bruno Mars tribute, at 8:15 p.m.

Playing at the Pacific Amphitheatre (requires a ticket purchased in advance, but includes fair admission):

•July 24: Cannons and Quinn XCII at 7:30 p.m.

•July 25: Keyshia Cole, JOE and Eric Bellinger at 7 p.m.

•July 26: The English Beat, Common Sense and Smoke & Mirrors Sound System at 7:30 p.m.

•July 27: Sublime with Rome, Fortunate Youth and Bikini Trill at 7:30 p.m.

•July 28: X, Reverend Horton Heat and Jonny Two Bags at 7 p.m.
