The city of Anaheim and the California’s Insurance Commissioner’s Office are hosting a virtual town hall for Anaheim Hills residents on Aug. 28.

The purpose is to address two critical issues: current state-level reforms relating to changes within the fire and home insurance market, as well as family emergency preparedness.

California Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara will give an overview of the latest statewide reform efforts he is leading pertaining to a challenging home insurance crisis of canceled policies or costly premiums for higher wildfire danger areas like Anaheim Hills.

Additionally, District 6 City Councilmember Natalie Meeks and Anaheim Fire and Rescue Chief Pat Russell will provide insights for the best ways to prepare for risk of fire and other emergencies.

Those wishing to attend this important online meeting, which will be 5 to 6 p.m., should register at Bit.ly/4d8iuYD. For additional information or questions contact Anaheim Chief Communications Officer Mike Lyster at 714-765-4497.
