Hawaiian Shirts

The Hawaiian shirts made for local wear are considered formal wear in business & government, regarded as equivalent to a shirt, coat, & tie. (More practical in the warm Hawaiian climate) Newcomers or tourists often wear designs of bright colours while those who have lived in Hawaii for longer prefer less busy patterns. The shirts are often printed on the interior, giving the exterior a muted effect. This is called "reverse print" giving the shirt an inside out appearance.
