The "lead sled" is an entire subculture of American cars, defined by the late-40's Mercurys. We found this awesome lead sled up on eBay, and long for the day when Mercury was still a cool car brand.

This 49 Mercury has the number plate "ALOACT" which is quite fitting for how low it is when parked. Of course it isn't this low all the time. When the car is started up the airbag suspension brings it up to it's proper ride height. Possibly the best Mercury in Melbourne.
