Bleach shirts

Yesterday i finished painting this t-shirt and I really love how it turned out! I painted my sketch with chalk and then painted over it with bleach until I liked the way it looks.

We (my daughter and I) have started another new hobby of bleaching shirts. I scoured Pinterest for tutorials and ideas. Then we just went for it. We have been making shirts for our immediate family and now we have started on our Christmas gifts. We have found that black and darker shirts work best. Here are many of the (successful) shirts we have created.

Spiderweb handpainted with bleach on to a black T-shirt. Available with just the spiderweb on the front, or connecting round to a second spiderweb on the back. Painted on the Fruit of the loom Original T. Their T-shirts run slightly smaller so pick a size bigger than you would normally go for when buying from other brands. Anything 100% cotton you better watch out. I have a new obsession. Really easy. Draw on a shirt with a bleach pen. Like the Tide pens except it is Clorox. This isn't a new idea, but the first time I tried it. I used the entire bleach pen in one afternoon. I was kinda dizzy to say the least. Not really. The teal on in the top left was my demo shirt.
