Fall at Fox Creek Bridge

Fall at Fox Creek Bridge was inspired by Thomas Kinkade’s Autumn Lane and is an exploration of what may lie further down along that country road. On the side of the cobblestone bridge the artists included the inscription, “Est. 1995”, as a nod to Autumn Lane, which was painted that year.

"Beyond Autumn Gate, Morning at Ivycrest Manor" was released in June 1993. A few years after a trip in which Thom found the inspiration for "Autumn Gate", he and Nanette went back to England and went through the gate. They found this “stately, ivy draped stone manor house” at the end of the lane, which was the inspiration for "Beyond Autumn Gate", the second in this series.

"Autumn at Ashley’s Cottage" was painted in October, 1994. Leaves burning in the yard reminded Thom of when he was young and of simpler times. A warm cozy cabin cottage is nestled in the autumn season. One might overlook the chickens in the front yard.

"Autumn Gate" was released in February 1991. This piece is set in the Cotswolds of England and first in the series. Thom had just completed "McKenna’s Cottage" when he and Nanette stumbled upon this gate while on vacation. As he was taking pictures of the gate, he became “distracted by a man tending a burning pile of leaves and had never even attempted to see what lay up the road.”

"Amber Afternoon" was released in October 1992. Situated in New England, this Victorian home captures the essence of the East Coast. A sign on the lamppost has “5282,” which is the month, day, and year of Thom and Nanette Kinkade’s wedding. The initials on the door say “NK,” for Thom’s wife, Nanette. Thom said this painting is a visual “poem for fall – a romantic love sonnet from the heart of one who feels deeply the charms of the autumnal season.”
