Often times when visiting a new country, we tend to hit the most popular spots, and in case of Japan places like Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima or Nikko, to name the few, steal the limelight. The truth is…

Atami is a resort town desitnation by the ocean and a reasonable distance from Tokyo - which makes it the perfect Tokyo getaway. Located on the east coast of the Izu Penisula and is about an hour on the Shinkansen. When we decided to book the trip, I didn't realize there were so many things to do in Atami.
