Crisscross Hourglass® Leggings with Pockets - Cosmic Navy

I've bought this legging twice, once in Nov/2023 (in sage green) and another in May/2024 (in black). The first one is PERFECT, I've been using it non-stop, so I bought a second one. The 6-month difference came with some updates (and a downgrade/possible error?). The seams are a bit more curvy, it still fits like a glove and the sizing is consistent. But where are the pockets? There are two open holes in the new one, these aren't pockets! I was very disappointed, I loved the pockets in the previous version, what's going on? In the pictures, the seams on the Green one are obvious, meanwhile, there aren't any on the Black one, there's a hole on the bottom; at least it is internal and not perceptive unless you use the pockets.

They're a little tight going on but on w they're on they fit great! The band does roll/work its way down so I have to pull them up from time to time but overall these are great!

the fabric is so nice and soft and I love that the waistband doesn't dig in on my tummy at all 🥰

Also having the option for a 25 inch inseam is perfect for me. I've never found any pants that stop at the right height on my ankle as a 4'11" girl so I'm really happy with these!!

It's always so difficult to get quality leggings that look elegant, fit correctly in waist and length and doesn't feel thin.
I like my leggings to fit like a glove since most of them get too streched on the thighs and eventually fall off. This fit exactly like that and doesn't feel/look like I cannot breathe. I have to say that I thought they would be too small but they didn't and I'm so happy and satisfied that I bought them.

I had been looking for plain black leggings with pockets, so I was excited to see these come back in stock. My thoughts:

SIZE IS OFF — According to the size chart, my waist falls into the S range (27”) and my hips are XS (35”). I suspected these leggings would run small based on the description and reviews, so I ordered M and L just in case.

Surprisingly, L was the clear winner for me. The M was extremely tight and restrictive and made me feel like a sausage about to burst out of its casing. It’s disappointing that the size chart is so off.

WAIST NOT AS HIGH — My favorite leggings are the hourglass ones from the Sugar Plum and Marble collections, sizes S and M respectively. Those hit at my natural waist and cover my belly button. The smallest part of the hourglass design is at the waist, which naturally prevents the leggings from slipping down. The waist on these is considerably lower, making them fit more like regular non-hourglass leggings.

FABRIC — It’s not exceptionally breathable, but I like that it feels silky but looks matte.

I was super excited when these came out as I had the original hourglass black leggings and they were my absolute fave!! Pulling these bad boys on, well...let's just say it reminded me of the time I tried to pull on a pair of Spanx. They were definitely compressive. VERY much so. I started to wonder if I had ordered the wrong size, the mediums I had before fit great, as well as several other PopFlex leggings. These got on, and I wore them to several classes but I finally pulled out my old ones and did a comparison. Yup. There is definitely a difference there. Now, that could be unfair...both pairs have been worn and washed several times, still, it is quite a large difference between the two. I guess I'll put these into a pile for the day I drop another 10 pounds because they just don't fit as is. I know PopFlex is working on their sizing, and to that I say, bravo. These were not up to par. I LOVE the pockets! This fabric is flat and matte compared to the originals that had a bit of sheen to them. Not sure if I like or dislike, but I can say the matte fabric seems to collect hair much more.
