Rialto city manager departs after 18 months

Rialto is in the market for a new city manager after agreeing to separate amicably with top administrator Marcus Fuller.

Fuller was hired in May 2021 after seven years as city manager in Palm Springs.

Prior to his stint in the desert, Fuller was Rialto’s public works director from 2012-14.

Fuller’s departure this week was the culmination of “management differences over the past several months,” according to a news release Wednesday, Jan. 18.

Fuller expressed appreciation for his time leading City Hall.

“I now plan to focus my attention on my young family and to consider a variety of opportunities on the next chapter of my professional career,” he said.

Fuller was making more than $275,000 annually.

Assistant City Manager Arron Brown will serve as acting city manager while the City Council determines the selection process for its next top administrator, according to the release.
