Inland girls athlete of the week: Dakota Zieman, Ontario Christian

Zieman helped the Ontario Christian girls volleyball team to nonleague wins over Redlands and Roosevelt and a runner-up finish at the Rosary Academy Tournament.

Name: Dakota Zieman

School: Ontario Chrsitian

Sport: Volleyball

Year: Senior

Noteworthy: Zieman, a 6-foot outside hitter, recorded 21 kills and 20 digs as the Ontario Christian girls volleyball team twice rallied from a set down and outlasted Redlands, 21-25, 25-23, 19-25, 25-14, 16-14 in a nonleague match. She also helped the Knights to an impressive sweep of Roosevelt (25-22, 25-23, 25-23) and to a runner-up finish at the Rosary Academy Tournament. Ontario Christian entered the week with a 7-1 record. Zieman was in the midst of a breakout junior campaign (3.3 kills per set) but suffered a dislocated ankle near the end of the regular season.
