Shirley Jean Coleman, 75, of Riverside, CA, died in Riverside of Leukemia on August 13. She was born in Chicago on January 29, 1949, to Albert J. Borucki and Louise Borucki (born Pociecha) and was the middle of three sisters. She attended Fenger High School and moved to Rancho Cucamonga in the 1970s where she raised her family. Shirley and Sylvain Ekindjian had two children, Michael and Anna. She worked for Central School District for 22 years, as a Typist Clerk at Valle Vista Elementary School and then as the Office Manager at Central Elementary School. She and her husband Charles “Chuck” Coleman married in 2006 and retired in Riverside.Shirley is survived by her beloved husband Chuck Coleman, son Michael (Marisela) Ekindjian, daughter Anna (William) Edwards, three granddaughters (Margot, Violet, Olivia), sister Beverly (John) Foley, sister Nancy (Jim) Shockley, one nephew, three nieces, and countless friends who felt her warmth and humor. In remembrance, the viewing will take place August 27, 5:00-8:00 pm at Todd Memorial Chapel, 570 N. Garey Ave., Pomona CA 91767. Mass will be August 28, 11:00 am at St. Andrew Newman Center, 105 W. Big Springs Road, Riverside, CA 92507, followed by a Celebration of Life lunch.
