    Corpse Bride

    Main Characters

    Victor Victoria Emily (corpse bride) Lord Barkis

    Victorias parents are losing their wealth, so they arrange a marriage for Victoria to a wealthy family. Victoria wants to marry someone she loves and not for money but her parents think differently because when they married, they werent in love with each other. Victor, (Victorias arranged fianc) has never had connections with a woman before and is nervous about getting married. After Victor makes himself look like a fool at the wedding rehearsal, he stumbles off into the woods. He practice his vows and realises hes in love with Victoria deeply and wants to marry her. As he was gaining confidence on his vows, he accidentally weds a deceased bride named Emily. Emily had been trapped in the afterlife with unfinished business of getting married to her true love. Long ago she was married then left for dead in the woods by her True Love, who used her for her money. She was simply fooled into love. When she died under a tree where she was left, Emily vowed to whoever proposes and says their vows, theyll be married. When Victor was chased by Emily out of the woods trying to get back to his parents, Victoria and her family, Emily takes him by surprise on a bridge by the town to the afterlife. The town crier saw what happened and spread the news. Victor seen with a mysterious woman and ran off. Lord Barkis stepped in telling Victorias parents hoping theyll cancel the wedding so he could marry her for their Wealth which they dont have. Instead they grow furious and want Victor dead but his parents wouldnt allow that as they know their own son and they said he be back soon. In the end, Emily lets victor go to be betrothed to Victoria. She realised they were meant to be together and had her ex-lover executed by the living dead after drinking the death syrup. She was brought to justice and flew off in her free spirit, blue butterflies. In my eyes, in this movie there was a lot of selfishness between the characters but it was an enjoyable movie. I highly recommend it as something to watch when youre sick and tired of the same old movies you watch over and over again. The voices of the characters suited the look of the characters, especially Johnny Deep as Victor voice who is in most of Tim Burtons quirky films.
