Lawrenceville Elementary School in Lawrenceville, NJ
Enrollment in three education methodology courses- RAL 321 (Literacy Learning Across the
Curriculum), SOM 203 (Methods of Teaching Social Studies), and ELE 301 (Integrated and
Differentiated Instruction)
Weekly 1.5 day field experience in a third grade classroom
Taught one lesson each week, in a variety of different content areas, including math, literacy, science,
and anti-bullying
Administered DRAs, familiarized with Responsive Classroom
Utilized the Go Math, Journeys Literacy, and FOSS Kit curriculums
Culminating project included the design and implementation of a thematic unit on the Human Body,
taught during a two-week period when field visits were made daily. Thematic unit is thorough and
comprehensive, including all plans for assessment & differentiation, lesson plans, home/school
connections, preparation of the learning environment (bulletin boards and classroom library), teacher
content knowledge, etc.
Instructor of Spanish Language and Job-Readiness Courses
Spring 2015
Taught and conducted (with peers) five Spanish language and two job readiness courses to immigrants
living in Alcal de Henares, Spain while studying abroad
Planned instruction for a group of 7-10 young adults of varying backgrounds and ethnicities
Classes held at CEPI (Centro de Participacin e Integracin- Center for Integration and Participation)
and lasted approximately one hour each
