GUIDELINES FOR PCGABT PASSERS FOR ENLISTMENT

Important Reminder: 2017 PCGABT Result is valid for Recruitment


Cycle 2017 and Recruitment Cycle 2018 ONLY!!!!

Instruction: Write your name on Page 5 of this document and have it signed. Keep this guide in Blue folder
together with your Processing Form.

1. UNIFORM:
• Plain white t-shirt, Maong pants with belt and rubber shoes with socks.
• Wearing of caps, jackets, skinny jeans, leggings, and accessories are not allowed inside PCG
premises.

2. HAIR:
• For Male: Clean haircut
• Female: Fix and pony-tailed
Note: Only naturally-colored hair is authorized.

3. WHAT TO BRING UPON REPORTING:

• Forms:
1) Personal Information Sheet (PIS)
2) Processing Form (PCG RB FORM 2017-03)
3) Notarized PFT Waiver (PCG RB FORM 2017-02)
4) Guidelines for PCGABT Passers for Enlistment
• 2x2 ID picture with nametag in white background
• 2 pcs Blue ball pen (not sign pen)
• Blue Long Folder
• 2 valid Government Issued ID (If no valid ID presented, will not be processed)
• NSO/PSA BIRTH CERTIFICATE

Important Note:
a. Forms may be downloaded at (http://coastguard.gov.ph/index.php/downloads) or in PCG
Recruitment Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/pcgrecruitmentbranch)

b. PIS Form and Processing Form must be filled up completely and accurately. All entries must be
COMPUTER ENCODED or may be hand-written in CAPITAL LETTERS using BLUE BALL PEN. DO
NOT WRITE IN CURSIVE. Accomplished PIS Form with 2x2 ID Picture must be submitted to
Recruiting Officer before the conduct of PFT. Attach a photocopy of your PSA/NSO Birth Certificate in
your PIS form.

In your Processing Form, Applicant Number and Area will be filled up by your Recruiting Officer.

c. An accomplished Processing Form will be submitted to Recruiting Officer for his/her validation
and signature to ensure that an applicant is in the Master List of PCGABT passers.

d. Applicants must always bring their processing form together with their valid ID’s as they progress
in their application. This will serve as reference and directive of your application. Lost processing form
may impede applicant from taking current process.

Processing form must be kept and stapled in Long blue folder.

e. PFT waiver must be notarized before reporting for PFT, strictly NO NOTARIZED PFT WAIVER,
NO PFT.

f. Print this Guidelines for PCGABT for Enlistment and have it signed. It must be kept and stapled
in Long Blue folder together with Accomplished Processing Form.

g. Should an applicant wish to transfer his/her application, he/she must endeavor the same before
the conduct of PFT and must secure an endorsement letter signed by the Recruiting Officer where an
applicant started his/her application. Bring along the Processing Form together with the endorsement
letter and have it submitted to CG-1 Recruitment Branch or to PCG District where applicants wish to
transfer. Transfer is allowed only once.

4. APPLICATION PROCESS:

a. PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST (PFT)


a.1 Passing Remarks for PFT

a.2 Attire:

a.3 On the date of conduct of PFT, applicants must bring the following:
a.3.1 Notarized PFT Waiver and Release of Liability
a.3.2 Validated and signed Processing form
a.3.3 Valid government issued ID
a.3.4 Water and extra clothing

➢ For HPCG Applicants. The PFT will be conducted by CGSSO. Applicants


will be advised thru CG-1 Recruitment Facebook Page to register at O/CG-
1 and will be scheduled by First Come First Served basis. If passed,
applicants to secure PFT Clearance from CGSSO.

➢ For Districts Applicants. The PFT will be conducted by the designated


Athletic Officer and the schedule will be announced thru its official Facebook
account or thru any easiest, accessible and most available means of
publication or communication. If passed, applicants to secure PFT
Clearance from CGSSO.

➢ Strictly PASSED or FAILED and no RETAKE policy will be implemented.

b. NEURO-PSYCHIATRIC (NP) EXAMINATION

Only applicants who passed the PFT will qualify to proceed to the NP test. After taking the NP
exam, only applicants who are NP GRANTED can continue to the next step of application.

➢ For HPCG Applicants. The NP Test will be conducted by CG MEDICAL


SERVICE (CGMED SVC) thru its NP Section. Applicants will be advised
thru CG-1 Recruitment Facebook Page thru Text Message and will be
directed to proceed to CGMED to register for schedule.

➢ For District Applicants. The NP Test will be conducted by CG MEDICAL


SERVICE (CGMED) thru its NP Section. Applicants will be advised thru
the District Official Facebook Page or thru any easiest, accessible and
most available means of publication or communication in the area, for
schedule and instruction.

c. MEDICAL EXAMINATION

Only applicants who will be marked as NP Granted will qualify to proceed to laboratory exam,
physical exam, and medical interview.

➢ For HPCG Applicants. The Medical Exam will be conducted by CG


CGMED SVC thru its Laboratory Section or thru its accredited laboratory
clinics. Applicants will be advised thru CG-1 Recruitment Facebook Page,
CGMED SVC Facebook Account or thru Text Message for instruction.
Once Medically Cleared, secure a copy of Medical Certificate to CGMED
to be, later on, attached to the folder of clearances.

➢ For District Applicants. The Medical Exam will be facilitated by District


CGMED thru its accredited medical laboratory clinics. Applicants will be
advised thru the District Official Facebook Page or thru any easiest,
accessible and most available means of publication or communication in
the area, for schedule and instruction. Once Medically Cleared, secure a
copy of Medical Certificate to CGMED to be, later on, attached to the folder
of clearances.

d. DENTAL EXAMINATION

Only medically cleared applicants will proceed to Dental Examination.

➢ For HPCG Applicants. Dental Exam will be conducted by Coast Guard


Dental Service (CGDENT SVC) and or thru its accredited laboratory
dental clinics. Applicants will be advised thru CG-1 Recruitment
Facebook Page, CGDENT SVC Facebook Account or thru Text Message
for instruction. Once Dentally Cleared, secure a copy of Dental to
CGDENT to be, later on, attached to the folder of clearances.

➢ For District Applicants. Dental Exam will be facilitated by District


CGDENT and or will be conducted by its accredited dental laboratory
clinics in the area. District CGDENT will advise applicants as to the
instruction in the conduct of said exam thru the District Official Facebook
Page or thru any easiest, accessible and most available means of
publication or communication in the area, for schedule and instruction.
Once Dentally Cleared, secure a copy of Dental Certificate to CGDENT
to be, later on, attached to the folder of clearances.

e. SUBMISSION OF CLEARANCES AND OTHER DOCUMENTS

Once applicants have completed the above processes and are medically and dentally cleared,
he/she will then prepare Eight (8) folders (color blue folder for male and yellow for female) containing
updated clearances and other required documents. One (1) original copy and the rest, or 7 copies are
photocopied with complete Tabbings. Two (2) folders will be submitted to O/CG-1 Recruitment Branch. One
(1) folder will be forwarded to CG-2 for use in conducting Background Investigation.

➢ The following are the clearances and documents to be submitted:

G. PRC LICENSE/ CSE CERTIFICATE
H. PSA CERTIFICATE OF NO MARRIAGE (CENOMAR)
I. PSA BIRTH CERTIFICATE
J. PSA MARRIAGE CONTRACT OF PARENTS
K. NBI CLEARANCE
L. PNP CRAME CLEARANCE
M. LOCAL PNP CLEARANCE
N. MAYOR’S CLEARANCE
O. MUNICIPAL TRIAL COURT CLEARANCE
P. REGIONAL TRIAL COURT CLEARANCE
Q. WHOLE BODY PICTURE (COLORED 4R)

f. SUBMISSION OF AUTHORIZATION LETTER

Together with the above-mentioned clearances to be submitted, an applicant must also execute an
authorization letter for the conduct of Background Investigation (BI). The authorization letter will be
used by BI agent in verifying the authenticity of the school credentials submitted by applicants to school
where he/she graduated. Applicants may get a format copy of the said authorization letter from CG-1
Recruitment Branch as well as in PCG Districts.

g. DELIBERATION OR FINAL INTERVIEW.

Schedule of deliberation or final interview will be announced by CG-1 Recruitment Branch and will
be conducted in HPCG for HPCG applicants and in PCG Districts for District applicants. Applicants
who will fail to appear on the scheduled deliberation will nullify his/her application. Applicants must
have passed in the final interview or have garnered a deliberation grade of 75% or above OR
depending on the rate that the PCG Non-Officers Admission Board (PCGNOAB) will set for a certain
recruitment cycle, in order to qualify to the next step of the application process. Failed grade in the
final interview means application disqualification.

h. BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION (BI)

Once medically and dentally cleared, passed the deliberation and qualified, applicants will then be
subjected to BI. After conducting BI, CG-2 will then forward the result to O/CG-1 Recruitment Branch.
After completing the above-mentioned processes and once BI granted, it is by then that an applicant
will be considered or recommended as candidate for take-oath as Draftee or as Trainee, subject to the
approval of OIC, PCG/CPCG.

5. ADDITIONAL REMINDERS TO APPLICANTS:

• All expenses to be incurred during the process of application will be shouldered by applicants.
• It is the responsibility of an applicant to look out and follow up his/her application. Texts and calls
may occur if there will be special instructions or applicants are encouraged to get updates from
CG-1 Recruitment Branch Facebook Page.
• Applicants should endeavor to complete the application process at the earliest possible time
• Always use “Sir or Ma’am” when talking to PCG Personnel and speak with politeness and courtesy.
