Activity 1: Small Group Activity

Review: The class will play the cabbage game. The pupils form a
big circle. The teacher shows a cabbage made of paper. Each leaf of the
cabbage has something written on it. Example: What is the 1/2 of 10?
What is 1/2 of 16?, let your classmate at your right answer the
question, etc. The cabbage will be passed around while the music is
being played. When the music stops, the pupil holding the cabbage will
get a leaf from the cabbage, read and follow what is written on it. This
is done until the leaves of the cabbage were taken.
Activity 2: Motivation
Present a picture of a family eating snacks with the children.
What are they doing?
How many are there in the family?
How do they share their food?

Possible strategies:
1. On the first round distribute 1 counter at a time to each of the four
groups. On the second round distribute another counter to each of the
four groups. So each group will have 2 counters each.
