Q.1.What is the central idea of the poem?


The beautiful poem “Daffodils” has been written by
“William Wordsworth.” The poet presents the central idea that we have
probably the moment in our life that we replay in our memory. The poet
not only presents the attractive and exciting beauty of nature but also
tells about the purifying and enduring impact of it on human mind.

Q.2.What do the daffodils represent in the poem?


The daffodils present the beauty of nature and its impact on human
mind.It beautifully presents before us not only attractive and exciting
beauty of nature but also the purifying and enduring impact of nature on
human mind.
Q.3.What “wealth” do memories of the scene give to the poet?
The “wealth” is poet’s imagination, it is memory in poet’s life that he
replys in his mind. It is the wealth of mental peace and satisfaction. We
probably have moment in our life that we replay in our
mind.Photographs or videos cannot capture our feelings .In this poem
the poet saves his feelings in his imagination.

The poet has heightened the impact of poem by using figurative
language. They decorate their writing by using figures of speech to
make the reader enjoy. Poets always enhance the beauty of their
poetry by using simile, metaphor, personification and imagery like
“stretch in never ending line” and “ten thousand I saw in a
glance” etc.

When he is in pensive (sad) mood he feels elevated when he
thinks about the daffodils dancing with joy. He feels happy and
relaxed.
PARAPHRASING
STANZA .1.
This stanza has been taken from the poem “Daffodils” written
by “William Wordsworth.” In this beautiful poem, the poet
describes an experience when he was walking alone in the
countryside. He compares himself to a cloud that float over
vales and hills while wandering about ,the poet at once saw
numerous golden daffodils which grew in never ending line
beside the lake and beneath the trees .The poet uses simile and
personification. He creates imagery by words.

STANZA2.
These lines have been taken from the beautiful poem
“Daffodils” written by “William Wordsworth.”
In this stanza the poet saw numerous daffodils. They were
growing in a never ending line. so, he compares them to the
Milky Way. The heads of daffodils were moving as if they were
dancing in happy mood. In this stanza, the poet uses a scientific
term ‘Milky Way’ which shows that poet has broad scientific
knowledge. The poet uses personification and compares the
movement of daffodils to the movement of human heads.

STANZA 3.
This stanza is taken from the poem ‘Daffodils’ written by
‘‘William Wordsworth.’’In this stanza, the poet compares the
daffodils fluttering in the breeze to the dancing waves of lake.
He gazed as long as he could absorb their beauty .At that time he
did not realize what great “wealth” of happiness that scene was
bringing to him at the present as well as for future. In this
stanza, the poet is using very beautiful words for the
descrip5tion of nature.

STANZA 4.
The stanza has been taken from the poem Daffodils, written by
William words worth.
In this stanza, the poet is too much impressed with the beauty of
the flowers. When he is in a sad mood. The scene of dancing
daffodils flashes upon his inward eye. He is able to see the
daffodils in their sprightly dance in his imagination and once
again the poet experiences the same joy.
