Writing Section

Write about two famous dishes from your country. Describe the taste of the dishes and
why you like them. Write at least five sentences.

Sancocho is, without a doubt, the most precious culinary treasure of the Dominican people. It is a dish that is
usually prepared for special occasions. Its preparation is long and it contains many ingredients. The traditional
sancocho is made with beef only (usually flank, or similarly inexpensive cut), however, the Sancocho de Siete
Carnes (seven-meat Stew) is the deluxe version. You can skip the other meats if you want.

Mangú is a uniquely Dominican food; it is a very popular dish consisting of mashed plantains, usually served with
eggs, fried Dominican “salami” and Queso Frito (Fried Cheese). Served together they are known as Los Tres
Golpes (The Three Strikes). It is mainly served as a breakfast dish, and sometimes it appears on the dinner table.

 The mangu is the Dominican's signature dish.

 The sancocho is the tastiest food in the world.

 I like the mangu with salami, cheese and onion

 The best accompaniment of the sancocho is white rice with avocado.

 I like the sancocho with pork and meat chicken, the taste is better and more delicious.

Speaking Section

Describe some foods that you can’t stand and some foods that you’re crazy about.
Upload a video about it on YOUTUBE and then attach the video link with this assignment.

I love things that many find detestable like broccoli, liver, pigs' feet, but there are foods that I can stand. Among
all the things that I consume all day, the only thing I can eat is aubergines. I do not like that texture, that smell
and that spicy.

Foods that I love.

There are many like: meats, rice, pasta, vegetables and desserts. An example I like to eat fried chicken with
banana or potato chips, exquisite. Breast stuffed with ham and cheese with béchamel sauce. A green salad with
lettuce, tomato, cucumber and red pimentos. The pasta, some white spaghetti, with corn and cheese,
accompanied with some potatoes.
