ENGINE TYPE L35MC/MCE, S26MC, S42MC

Recently, we have experienced the opening pressure drop of the fuel injection valve in spite of the
short term using after delivery.

Hereby, we would like to inform you of the adjusting method of the opening pressure for the fuel
injection valve by installing the adjusting shim.

To judge the fuel valve condition, following test items are to be carried out by the testing device.

a. Opening pressure test (standard pressure)


b. Spray direction test (standard pressure)
c. Sealing test (below about 100 bar from standard pressure)
d. Oil tight test for the O-ring (below about 100 bar from standard pressure)

The real atomization on the engine can not be simulated by the testing device.
Therefore, the atomization test is excluded from the fuel valve test items.

Adjusting method of the opening pressure for the fuel injection valve

3 Adjusting limit of shim thickness


To keep the spindle valve lift, max 3.0mm to kept.
In case of S26MC, FV has already been installed the adjusting shim for adjusting of opening
pressure from new engine.
