ACTIVITY 1 | The Worker

Work is on your way. Are you prepared to work? Do you have the potential, character,

talents, and skills to take up the vigor of being a worker? What should you possess to become a

good worker? How will you prepare for work immersion?

I am applying being a work immersionist because I know to myself that I am really

prepared. Prepared for the task that will be given to me, to the time management that I will

make so that I can do my job properly and on the time. Every person have the different

character, talents and skills, they are saying “your strength is my weakness, your weakness is

my strength,” that’s why I am 100% sure that I have the potential to work on and I can take

whatever challenge that will give to me.

I have many ways and process in becoming a good worker, first is I can communicate

properly not only to the guest but also it can help me to express myself properly or in a good

manner specially in interacting and speaking to other person. I am also a hardworking. Being a

hardworking employee is one of the important ways to become a good worker because ones

you are a hard working for you your job is very important, you don’t want to lose it that’s why

you work hard for it to stay. I am also willing to help other especially in my co-worker.

9
In working it is very important to be always on time, bosses are loved people being

punctual. And I am also like that, I have the mindset that every hour is important and to other

time is money, which is true. Also, I easily adopt changing environment, I can adjust myself to

have a healthy communication with my co-worker. I always doing the rules and regulations that

the company made to follow. I am also an honest employee; I can easily adopt any ideas or

ACTIVITY 3 | Situational Analysis

CONFIDENTIALITY IN THE WORKPLACE

Suppose you work in a police station or a law firm and signed a confidentiality

agreement regarding all their cases at hand, suddenly your friend who was a suspect to a crime

asked you for some documents that are in your office’s possession that may help him in his

case. How would you deal with the situation?

Even she/he is my friend I did not do anything that will cause a trouble and loss of my

job. I promise to my job that I’ll be honest no matter what. And if my friend has fault in that

crime, she/he should pay for all the consequences. In the first place she/he knows what is

wrong or right, I have no responsibility to help her/him in this way cheating on my job.

I will help her/he in a good way that there’s no one may affected. For example, I will

give or find a lawyer so that there is one who will protect her/him.

12
ACTIVITY 4 | Conflict Resolution

Did you ever experience disagreement and conflict with co-workers? How did you handle

the situation? How would you rate your skills in handling differences of opinion? Please give an

example that illustrates that skill.

I did not experience conflict with mg co-worker, because they are all older than me. I

am like his/her daughters. They are all kind to share their knowledge about the work that I

should do. They teach me how to love your work so that it will stay to you. I remember they

say “always smile even it is every stressful, in that way you will forget the problems and find a

way to solved it.”

I learned in this situation is that, in a work you should be humble as always, other will

love you if you have a good attitude. And also learn to adjust in the new environment, not all

the time other people will always make an adjustment to you, you should also learn to forgive

and also to respect other person specially if they have a big role to your life.

NARRATIVE REPORT

January 30- February 8, 2020

January 30, 2020 is our first day in On the Job Training (OJT). Together with my group

deploy to the Asog County Hotel after the orientation the management send us to the Desny

Grill Restaurant. The first thing that we do, the cooker teach us how to cut different cuts of

meats according to its menu. After that we prepare vegetables that will used. At exactly 1;00

pm we start our work, cleaning the kitchen (mapping), also we wash dishes used in the seminar

hall. 4;00 pm in the afternoon is the end of our job.

January 31 2020, we arrived at Asog County Hotel at 8:00am. After wards, ate Lani told us

to wait if we are going to Desny Grill Restaurant, while we are waiting, we clean the new

renovated rooms of the hotel and the pathways.

After a while the owner of the hotel arrived then she talks to us, what we must do. The two

girls and I told us to go to the restaurant because girls must there. In the restaurant, as usual

the thing or job that we do is just the same like what we do in the first day (cutting of meats,

pealing the vegetable, cleaning the kitchen, washing the dishes and cleaning comfort rooms).

February 1, 2020. Nanay Glo, the older chief at the restaurant teach me how to serve and

what will do if someone leave after eating. I stay at the kitchen in that day helping the cashiers

and the crew to serve and to wash out the dishes. And also I help in designing the menu before

serving. I also wiping the plates.

February 2 to February 7, 2020, in these following days our routine are all the same. We

always arrived at exactly 7 or 8am in the morning. We clean floor, we map it and we clean the

28
tables and chair and tables. And sometimes we clean the comfort rooms with ate Aileen

Macauyam. And we always helping the ate’s and kuya’s in their respective jobs.

February 8, 2020, this day is our last day in on the job training (OJT). For me this day is

the most enjoying, but I feel do tired.

In our last day me and my group mates go to the Asog County Hotel. This day is very

different to the past days because from the day in the restaurant then we go to the hotel, the

environment is very different. We do the bedding and cleaning of the rooms. It is our first time

to do this job that why it is very hard for me but then I learn a lot of things that I can use in my

everyday life. Ate jean the housekeeping in that hotel teach us the standard of cleaning and

arranging the rooms in Asog County Hotel.

That is the end of us on the Asog County Hotel and at the Desny Grill Bar and Restaurant.

ACTIVITY 22 | Work Performance Artefacts

ACTIVITY 22 | Reflection

I learn a lot in the 10 days On the Job Training (OJT). I am very different in our house and

to the restaurant and to the hotel. Specially in cleaning and cooking, I don’t know how to

arrange my room even cooking, but after this OJT I can say that I can do households that I can

apply in my everyday life and can bring everywhere.

Not only household I learn, also in communicating other people. Being humble and kind to

the person you meet is the best experience in our lives.

I also learn being friendly not only to my same age but also to the oldest people. All ate’s

and kuya’s, nanay’s and tatay’s (the management in the Desny Grill restaurant) are all closed to

my heart. I will never forget them for bring kind, especially in sharing their knowledge to us.

And, to the free foods that they always give and they always asking us if we are okay.

I learn a lot and I will be thankful for the knowledge and experience that I gain.

At this juncture you need to revisit the things that have been done in the past few days.
What are the events that are memorable to you, what are the key learning’s that you
have achieved and lastly you need to evaluate if the experienced gave you more
confidence to face what lies ahead.
