ABOUT THE PHYSICAL COPY
It has a map- very helpful for the readers to use as their reference. It is not
colored map but still is very amazingly illustrated.

Opinions from other authors- very heartwarming and interesting to

read. Also, the font that is used were very fit to the content.

Title Page- well the title page did not dissapoint, the illustration and font
that is used in it were also very good.
Dedication- the dedication is very thoughtful and as well as simple.

The Body- the chapters are short and very easy to read which is great for
my taste.

MOOD AND WHERE SHOULD WE READ THE BOOK

(OPTIONAL PLACE)
Imagining and daydreaming while reading is super fun. Isolating yourself
to focus more won’t ruin the mood. So to pique everyone’s interest, where is a
place that is fit to spend your time reading a good book? What are these
places? Spots or places that I am willing to suggest are coffee shops, library,
and at your room. One thing in common between these places are the
peacefulness.

SNEAK PEAK

The story starts with SHIORI,ANMA, the only princess of Kiata, has a
secret. Forbidden magic runs through her veins. Normally, she conceals it
well, but on the moorning of her betrothal ceremony, Shiori loses her control,
and catches the attention of Raikama, her stepmother.
A sorceres in her own right, Raikama banishes the young princess,
turning her brothers into cranes. She warns Shiori that she must speak of it to
no one, for with every word that escapesher lips, one of her brothers will die.
Penniless, voiceless, and alone, Shiori searches for her brothers, and
uncovers a dark conspiracy to seize the throne. Only Shiori can set the
kingdom to rights, but to do so she must place her trust in a paper bird, a
mercurial dragon, and the very boy she fought so hard not to marry. And she
must embrace the magic she’s been tought all her life to forswear- no matter
what the cost.

WHAT I THINK ABOUT THE STORY

I did gave this novel a 4.5 rate. For me who is a bookworm since a child,
I enjoyed diving into my imagination in this book. To be fair, all qualities of a
good breathtaking novel is in this first installment. For those readers who
have a big interest in romance, you shall not worry. It has many tropes which
for sure everyone’s favorites. Enemies to lovers, Slow-burn, and Love at First
Sight. If we talk about surprising plot, then yes there are many plot twists.
Like what other authors think about the book, it is indeed dazzling,
captivating, unputdownable, magical, and riveting. The setting is very
whimsical, undeniably beautiful eerie. The mood and feels of the ambiance is
imaginably epic- depressing but nostalgic.
The flawed characters were incredibly well written. Those readers who
have brothers can surely relate. The bond between siblings and parents are
realistically true to life. In the book our girl, SHIORI had an imperfect
relationship with her brothers especially to his other brother whom she hates
and the same time love. There is an “No man is an island” vibe in Six Crimson
Cranes. Even after all trials and challenges, SHIORI had her paper and dragon
friend at her side always which is understandably emotional.
Romance is not the main point in this novel but it also gave the readers a
bit of butterflies in a stomach feeling. There is a slight love triangle between
SHIORI, the dragon shapeshifter, and her betrothed. But obviously she chose
her betrothed and there is a platonic relationship between SHIORI and Seryu
(shapeshifter).
The protagonist also is very likable but stubborn at the same time. She
has this paper crane, magical paper crane that can communicate with her
using thought relay. She and her paper crane has a love and hate relationship.
Kiki the living paper origami was always mindful about SHIORI’s decisions
that is sometimes impulsive.
There are also misunderstood characters whom I sympathize and pitied.
The first antagonist turned good is the main character’s stepmother which is
surprisingly a sad sorceress. She is the main reason why the story’s plot exist.
She was entirely misunderstood by everyone around her but deeply, she is
very caring and thoughtful.
In novels similar to Six Crimson Cranes, we should always expect that
there will be a handful of iritating and hatable characters with no character
development which makes them super interesting. In this book we have what
every Six Crimson Cranes fan knows called the wolf. He is the unexpected
antagonist of the story that we can find in the middle of the story. Bandur or
the wolf will surely give headaches to the characters as well as the reader in
book 2. His main motive obviously is to have revenge which is shown in the
end part of the story.
For me what makes this novel famous is its characters, main and side
characters. Again every characters in the story was deeply written even the
extra characters, their past were very mysterious, bone chilling and
interesting. Everything about the book is jaw dropping.
I am torn between loving and hating the ending. I couldn’t decide at
first what to rate because of the cliffhanger but the I rated it 4. 5. Compared to
the other books I finished already in the past, this book is more comfort
material and less rough and complex, in my opinion.
