MECHANICS AND CRITERIA FOR JUDGING OF CONTESTS
Christmas Caroling Contest for KFC per Cluster

Mechanics:
 The contest is open to all junior and/or senior KFC-GK D1 members.
 One entry per cluster only.
 Carolers must consist of minimum of 5 and maximum of 10 members.
 Theme of song/s: Christmas; with accompaniment or A capella. Use of musical instrument/s
and/or props are allowed.
 The theme of the presentation, including costume and choreography of carolers, is left to the
discretion of the group based on their own interpretation of the chosen existing Christmas
song/s and/or own composition.
 The presentation shall not exceed 3 minutes, inclusive of entrance and exit. A deduction of 2
points for every excess 10 seconds will be imposed.
 Any vulgar or suggestive movements, words, or music may result in disqualification. Costumes
must also be decent.
 Use of inflammable materials, such as fireworks or pyrotechnics, is prohibited.
Criteria for Judging:

 Voice quality (harmony, pitch balance, projection) - 25%
 Musicality (interpretation, execution, timing and expression) - 30%
 Audience Impact (message of caroling, appreciation of carolers) - 20%
 Costume (relevance to the theme, style) - 15%
 Overall Impact (overall performance) - 10%

Christmas Cheer-dance for YFC per Cluster
Mechanics:
 The contest is open to all YFC-GK D1 members.
 Each group must consist of male and female cheer-dancers, not less than 6 and not more than
12 in number.
 Theme: Christmas sa D1.
 The entire duration of the performance must not exceed 3 minutes, inclusive of entrance and
exit. A deduction of 2 points for every excess 10 seconds will be imposed.
 The routines are cheers or yells, creative dance or gimmickry and/or any cheer-dance routine
piece. Cheers/chants must be yelled by the dancers live (not pre-recorded). Dance portions can
be accompanied by pre-recorded music.
 Any vulgar or suggestive movements, words, or music may result in disqualification. Costumes
must also be decent.
 Pyrotechnics and other similar dangerous or hazardous props are strictly prohibited.

Father & Son / Mother & Daughter Look Alike Contest per Chapter
Mechanics:
 The contest is open to all D1 father and son or mother and daughter tandems.
 One entry per chapter only (including HOLD). No age requirement.
 Participating tandem must submit one close-up colored picture together (in jpeg/png/picture
format with clear resolution) to our CFC-GK District 1 group chat on or before December 1, 2022
with the following details: Cluster / Chapter / Names of Tandem
 Photos will be displayed during the Christmas Party for voting.

 For the presentation/runway walk during the Christmas Party, tandems may wear any Christmassy
attire and accessories.
 Self-introduction of each tandem (to mention respective names/cluster/chapter and favorite bible
quote)
 Amazing resemblance in photo (based on the result of voting) - 30%
 Amazing resemblance in person (overall resemblance; similar-looking appearance) - 35%
 Overall execution/choreography during presentation/runway walk - 10%
 Self-introduction (projection, message, style) - 5%
 Christmassy Attire - 15%
 Overall Impact - 5%

Battle of the Bands Contest per Cluster
Mechanics:
 The contest is open to all CFC/SFC/HOLD-GK D1 members.
 Each band must include both male and female members, not less than 5 and not more than 10
in number.
 The entire duration of the performance must not exceed 3 minutes. In addition, each band will
be given another 3 minutes for the preparations and exit. A deduction of 2 points for every
excess 10 seconds will be imposed.
 The theme of the performance, including attire and choreography, is left to the discretion of the
band members based on their own interpretation of the chosen existing Christmas song/s or
own composition.
 Obscene, lewd or green words in the lyrics are prohibited.
 The use of pyrotechnic gadgets, smoke or combustible materials as props are not allowed.

 Performance (stage presence, choreography, style) - 35%
 Attire - 10%
 Overall/Audience Impact - 15%

Christmas Buffet Table Setting for HOLD per Chapter
Mechanics:
 Open to all HOLD D1 members.
 One entry per chapter only.
 Participating chapters must provide their own buffet table/s (any size) and all materials/items to
be used for the buffet display, including food and decorations.
 Table setting theme: Christmas in the Philippines.
 Idea / Creativity / Resourcefulness - 25%
 General Appearance of Table Setting in relevance to the theme - 30%
 Harmony of Display - 25%
 Skirting/Décor Arrangement - 10%
 Overall Impact - 10%
