- Kung Fu-Tzu famously known as Confucius is a Chinise sage founded confucianism. - Teacher, Politician,
Editor and Philosopher of Chinise History.

- Confucius is known as the first teacher in China who wanted to make education broadly available and
he was the instrumental in establishing the art of teaching as a vocation.

Background of the Work

- The poem is a Chinise Literature, later on translated by James Legge

• Dramatic situation:

a. Who is the speaker of the poem?

- Wife

She is the one who expresses a great loss of her husband.

b. To whom does the speaker speaking?

- Husband and the reader

c. What is the situation?

• It states the wife's grief or sorrow towards her husband. She is in longing and hope to be in his
embrace.

The poem mood evokes sadness.

the time of day between sunset and sunrise.

the encompassing darkness that surrounds suffering.

you are the only human being present in a place.

Denotative Meaning

a hard sharp leafless point on the stem or branch of a plant.

an annoyance or problem

•Summer- freedom, happiness, idleness and self-development.

• Dragon-plant- perseverance and knowledge of our inner-selves.

• The love that stays even after death, is the one that recognized as pure.

• Love does not forget, it remembers.
