B. Teaching Numeracy for SIKAP (10 mins.)

C. Review

D. Motivation (5 mins.)

The teacher will divide the class into four groups, and each group will be
given a task (Activity 1: Find me) where they will determine if the statement of the given
item is appropriate from the choices in the box.
E. Reading of Objectives

F. Discussion (15 mins.)

The teacher will explain the scope and delimitation in a research
study.
The teacher will give examples of different parameters of scope and
delimitation.
The teacher will be going to present her lesson about the content of scope
and delimitation.

G. Application (10 mins.)

The teacher will present information to be assigned in the different
paragraphs as guide in writing a scope and delimitation. The output will be
graded according to the rubric provided.

and culture.
2.) Grounded theory is an investigation of a phenomenon within the
context of real-life situation.

follow in data gathering.
4.) Data analysis is a systematic process of interpreting data.
5.) In writing scope and delimitation, you need to write everything
including the background of the study.
6.) Phenomenology refers to the exclusive time frame when the
research is conducted.
7.) Scope provides parameter, coverage and the processes involve in
research.
8.) There is a rigid format of writing scope and delimitation.
9.) Research local has to be disclosed in scope and delimitation.
10.) Scope and delimitation provides readers the whole process
of the research.

delimitation.
12.) Data analysis is declared on your scope and delimitation.
13.) The population of the study is included on scope and
delimitation.
14.) The researcher can be considered as an instrument in data
gathering.

SCOPE AND DELIMITATION OF THE STUDY

This (1) qualitative study employed a phenomenological research design. According to

Creswell (2013), it was an approach directed to the similarities of the lived experiences among a
particular group. (2) The main objective was to come up with an explanation of the nature of
a particular phenomenon. Moreover, Manen as cited in Finlay (2013), this research design
started with the interest and desire of the researcher transforming it into epistemic inquiry.
Likewise, (3) this was geared toward a broader understanding of a specific phenomenon
whether it was lived experience, event, or even a situation. Hence, this study explored in
depth examination of the lived experiences of (4) novice teachers as it unveiled their Lebenswelt
(world-life) and weltanschauung (world-view) on handling verbal bullying inside the classroom.
Data gathering was delimited to one of the (5) integrated middle school in the province of
Bataan, Philippines.
In this (6) qualitative research, the (7) researcher will serve as the main instrument of the
study (Pezalla, Pettigrew and Miller-Day, 2012). Another tool will be the interview guide. This
(8) unstructured interview guide is a researcher-made instrument based from the objectives of
the study. It is composed of five (5) questions. Objectively, interview questions are formulated to
gather necessary information about the participants’ live experience ass well as their coping
mechanism.

In gathering data, (9) individualized or focus group discussion are employed depending on
the preference of the participants. Because of the impossibility of personalized interview, this
will be carried through social media platforms either through Zoom app or Facebook Video
Conferencing. According to Eysenbach (2019), these platforms provide opportunities in
conducting qualitative research. In analyzing the data, (10) thematic network analysis will be
employed. It is explained as web-like illustrations that summarize themes (Stirling, 2001).
Particularly, this study seeks to identify the salient themes through coding. This to facilitated
structuring and depiction of the themes into an emerging main theme.
