Let Us Reflect

A play is work of drama that is presenting a fictional performance.

Where of the performances like opera, mime, ballet and others are often
performed on a stage before and later on radio and on television. A play is
mostly consisting of a dialogue between characters and intended theatrical
performances. Rather than just reading the script, some evolved the level of
performance through other theatrical performances. These are presented in
the various genres: comedy, Farce, Satrical, Tragedy and musical theater.
Today, this theatrical music has been popular to the young
generations. It allowed many composers to create every song in the play.
In this lesson, musical or theater plays are included in the latest curriculum
as part of the Philippine contemporary music. This module will explain the
basic elements of theatrical play and how these be organized in theater
production. Specifically, this module will present our very own theater play
“Ang Huling El Bimbo” as an example.
