Recommendations:
I do yarn under then yarn over when crocheting this toy (semi-X stitches). If you do yarn
over both times (V stitches), then you will have to work shift stitches by yourself.
Hold tight tension to avoid holes forming.
All the pieces are crocheted in a spiral.
The finished toy measures about 26cm (10.2 inches) in case of using the materials listed.
Abbreviations:
MR - magic ring
ch - chain
inc - increase

Attach the thread Alize Cotton Gold № 60 (black) to the front loops of round 51 at the

fixed with pins, so they won’t interfere your work at the skirt (see the photo).

Then crochet in rounds.

Underskirt:
Take two pieces of tulle of black and white color with the width of 6 cm and the length of
150 cm (you can take the longer pieces, then the underskirt will be fluffier). Fold it in half
(along the piece length) and iron across the line of the fold to fix it (the black color is
located inside). Make a running stitch across this fold line. Gather the fabric forming
folds. Try the underskirt on the doll and fix with pins. Sew it around. Spread the
underskirt.

Ears:
Make two pieces using the thread YarnArt Jeans № 05 (light

When making a magic ring, leave a long thread tail for
sewing. We will use it for sewing the ears to the head.
1round: 5sc in MR (5)
Cut the thread, leaving a long thread tail for sewing.
-12-
Needle sculpting for face:
Make a needle sculpting, be guided with the photos. Take a long strong thread. In this
case I used the same thread, which was used for the doll crocheting. Insert the needle as
close to the eyes as possible.
The points 5 and 6 are located at the last round of the head, in the middle of front side.
Insert the needle into the point 5 and pull it out from the point 1. Then insert the needle
into the point 2 and pull it out from the point 6. Then make a needle sculpting for the
second eye. Insert the needle into the point 5 and pull it out from the point 3. Then
insert the needle into the point 4 and pull out from the point 6. Pull the thread ends very
carefully, trying to pull the eyes evenly and not so tightly. Tie a knot and weave in the
thread tails inside of the piece.

Hair:
Wig.
Crochet with the thread YarnArt Baby cotton № 407 (brown).
Try the wig on the head as you go, it should fit closely to the head.
You may probably need to work more or less rounds, because we all have different
crochet density.
1round: 6sc in MR (6)
2round: 6inc (12)
3round: (sc, inc)*6 (18)
4round: 1sc, inc, (2sc, inc)*5, 1sc (24)

6round: 2sc, inc, (4sc, inc)*5, 2sc (36)

8round: 3sc, inc, (6sc, inc)*5, 3sc (48)
9round: (7sc, inc)*6 (54)
10round: 4sc, inc, (8sc, inc)*5, 4sc (60)
11-22rounds: 60sc (12 rounds)
Finish crocheting with sl st.
Fasten off the thread, cut, leaving a long thread tail for sewing.
Bun:
Hairstyle.
Put the wig on the head. Fix it with pins and sew. I sew it using “stitch-to-stitch”
method.
Let’s make bangs. Mark the point on the head where the bangs will start. I placed this
point between rounds 21 and 22 on the wig in the middle. Take a needle with a long
thread and start to embroider the bangs. At first move to one side, inserting the needle
into the wig base (see the photo). Make a pair of stitches in this way. Then pull the
needle out a little higher than the bangs base from the middle and make several stitches
more. Embroider the bangs on the other side in the same way.
When the bangs are finished, insert the needle into the middle of the front side and
make a pair of stitches covering the hairline (see the photo).
Weave in the thread tail inside of the head.

Details:
Take the bun, add fibrefill and fix on the head top with pins. My bun is located between
rounds 7 and 8 on the head. You can choose any other location.
Blushes.
Paint the cheeks and the nose slightly using a blusher or hard pastels.
-18-
Details:
Take a piece of wire with the length of 11 cm, wrap the ends with adhesive tape. At first
insert the wire into the doll’s body. Add the fibrefill into the body. The neck should be
firmly stuffed. Put the head on the neck, fix with pins. Sew it around.
Then pull the thread of black color through the middle point on the top border of the
dress using a needle. Cross the thread tails and tie a bow on the back side.
-19-
Pointe shoes:
Make two pieces, use the thread Alize Cotton Gold № 60 (black).

Tie a bow, sew it to the head
