Adding Menus and Sub Menus in an Application
Traditionally, the Menu, MainMenu, ContextMenu, and MenuItem classes were used for adding
menus, sub-menus and context menus in a Windows application.
Now,the MenuStrip,the ToolStripMenuItem, ToolStripDropDown and ToolStripDropDownM
enucontrols replace and add functionality to the Menu related controls of previous versions.
However, the old control classes are retained for both backward compatibility and future use.
Let us create a typical windows main menu bar and sub menus using the old versions controls first.
Since these controls are still much used in old applications.
Following is an example which shows how we create a menu bar with menu items: File, Edit, View
and Project. The File menu has the sub menus New, Open and Save.

First of all you have to use CorelDraw with version

11+. In this tutorial I use CorelDraw X5. Okay let’s
get started. Let’s take a look at the basic elements
used to create our design

we will begin.First of all open your CorelDraw
program. Now create a new file and set the paper
size to A2, which is a standard size for posters.
Step 4: Creating the Splat
We are going to create the colorful splat, using

it’s in the left toolbar, after you click it go to the
top toolbar, there you will see an option drop box,

Create a water drop shape by click and drag it.
Step 3: Creating Poster Body
Now that we have our worksheet set, now we will

Step 8: Coloring the Rainbow
Now that we have our Rainbow Shaped. let’s put

color in it.Select the First Rainbow and go to the
Fountain Fill Tool, and apply the value below

Now select all the rainbow, and arrange it on top
of the Poster Body.

Step 9: Creating the Heart Shape Copy and resize the heart shape, arrange it to the
center make it smaller than the original.
We are going to create the Heart Shape using
"Bezier Tool ". Draw a line by using the "Bezier
Tool", point & left click to create it.
Copy another two and arrange it like picture

below.
Shape it using "Shape Tool" like in step 4. shape it

until it look like a heart shape.
Step 10: Coloring the Heart Shape
Now that we have our Heart Shaped. let’s put

color in it. Select the First Heart and go to the
Fountain Fill Tool, and apply the value below
Flip and copy the lines by holding " Ctrl+Left+Right
mouse " while dragging it to the right.

shape with the size 300 x 250 px.

the Main Frame, go to the " Ellipse Tool " and

Put color in it by go to the " Fountain Fill Tool "

and apply the value below.
After that go to the " Interactive Distortion Tool "

in the left toolbar and apply the value below.
Make it transparent using " Interactive

Transparency Tool ".
After that, we are going to insert the Objects into

the Main Frame using " Power Clip", left click the
Objects and then go to the top toolbar and find
Effect >Power clip> Place Inside Container, then
you will see a black arrow, Left click it to the Main
Frame, and now you will see that the Object is
inside the Main Frame, you can go "inside" or
"outside" the container by holding Ctrl while
double clicking it. Place it inside the Main frame container using "
PowerClip ".

Now we are going to insert the Lens into the

Retine using “Power Clip ".Select the lens and go
to the upper toolbar find " Effect >Power Clip>
Place inside Container ", click it to the Retina.
Okay now go to the “Ellipse Tool " in the left
toolbar and drag to create a custom circle shape
similar like below to create the Retina.
After that we are going to create the eye Lens, go

to the " Bezier Tool " and create a custom shape
similar like below.You can put any color that you
like for the Lens, in this case I use pink.
Now group it by pressing " Ctrl + G " and arrange
it on top of the Head, after that flip and copy the
eyes, by pressing " Left + Right " mouse while
dragging it to the right.
Make the corner rounded using “Shape Tool " so

it looks more like an eye lens.
Okay now create a nose by simply creating a line

and shape it using " Bezier & Shape Tool " similar
like below.
After that go to the " Interactive Transparency

Tool " in the left toolbar, drag it from bottom to
top to create a linear transparency.
Using same steps as above now create the mouth

for the anime characters and put a dark red color
in it.

Okay now we are going to create the detail for the Put any color that you like on the hair, in this case

Insert the Face texture and the copied Hair inside create a custom shape using “Bezier Tool " and

Using the same technique to create the Hair

Highlight, copy and put a lighter color on the
PonyTail.
Now that you have already know how to work

with " Bezier " and " Shape " tool, create a

The Perfect Diamond
1. Create a template guide
First, place the line work by going File>Place and

select the graphic. Go to Layers Palette and click
the arrow to show the menu and select Template.
This will lock and make the graphic transparent for
easy tracing.
Drawing a vector diamond is pretty simple in

Adobe Illustrator. First, let’s do some research on
the anatomy of a diamond. We don’t want to do
some fancy cut and get rejected by our clients.
