• Their interests
• Their traditions
The United Kingdom, which includes England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland,
is a diverse and vibrant country with a rich history and culture. The lifestyle of people in
the UK can vary greatly depending on factors such as their region, occupation, social
class, and personal preferences
The UK has a very diverse population - people from all over the world live here. There
are many different international communities, and international students will feel
welcome.

UK transport

• The UK is small country with lots to see, and it is easy


to use public transport to explore. Trains are the fastest
way to travel, especially for long journeys. Book your
tickets in advance for the cheapest prices.

UK weather

• The UK has lots of different weather, sometimes it


rains, sometimes it is sunny and beautiful.

UK paying

• The UK uses its own currency, called the pound (£).


• The UK has a very diverse population - people from all
over the world live here. There are many different
international communities, and international students
will feel welcome.

Traditional British food includes fish and chips, full English


breakfast, Sunday roast dinners, Yorkshire pudding, Cornish
pasties, cream tea, pies, haggis, local cheese, and of course
plenty of tea and cake.

Supermarkets are good places to find cheap options for


lunch and snack, to reduce the cost of living.
British people are known for their love of tea and have a long-standing British culture is also influenced by the country's history and its position as a
tradition of enjoying a cup of tea in the afternoon. They are also global leader in art, literature, and music. The UK has a rich literary tradition,
passionate about sports, with football (soccer) being the most popular with famous authors such as William Shakespeare, Jane Austen, and J.K.
sport in the country. Other popular sports in the UK include cricket, Rowling, and is home to many world-class museums, galleries, and theatres.

However diverse its people, there


are some common traits shared by
most British people. They are
famous for their reserve, are not
prone to grand displays of
emotion, and value their privacy.
This can lead some expats to feel
that they are “cold” — or even rude
— at first. While this may limit
conversation on public transport,
you will soon find that British
people can actually be as warm and
funny as anyone else’.
In fact, humour is incredibly
important to British particularly an
ability to laugh at oneself! But
don’t mistake their self-
deprecating jokes for a lack of self-
confidence. It’s simply that they
value politeness and good
manners, and it’s considered “bad
form” to boast.
In general, people in the UK enjoy a high standard of living and have access to a wide
range of amenities, services, and leisure activities. The UK has a temperate climate,
with mild winters and cool summers, and the landscape includes a variety of
landscapes, from rolling hills and picturesque villages to bustling cities and beautiful
coastlines
